The 15th HDTA One-Day Jr. Singles Tournament

The match of the day was in the girl’s “A” level where experienced varsity player, Ashley Oliveira, Sultana, overcame Freshman, Brianna Wood, Serrano,in the finals. The girls had competed in a school match earlier in the year with Brianna winning that match.

Brianna is not only a new competitior in high school team play and a Freshman at Serrano High School, but is also a student of the High Desert Tennis Association teaching program.

Spectators also got a chance to watch the new “D” level players. These kids did a fantastic job as beginner competitors.
